for some reason, if i use No2Chem's rom as base rom to make my own Kitchen, some of the functionalities won't work. try to flash No2Chem's rom directly to your phone without using any kitchen, the ## should work.

Just wanted to update this thread so no2chem can continue development of this ROM.
Well to say the least, this ROM has been working perfectly. I have had no real problems with it during the week of usage. Bluetooth and alarm issues are completely resolved...dpad issue is totally gone as well. I have only seen two things which are catching my attention... 1. Dialing a number on the dialpad seems extra slow. I'll edit this after a hard reset and check again if there's any change. 2. EPST does not work. Seems like it attempts to start it but then closes immediately. Codes such as ##DATA# or ##786# do not work. other codes such as the one for field trial work: ##DEBUG#. I will check this also with a hard rest and post changes if there are any. In addition, I have a question: no2chem, are you using 2.16 XIP in this ROM or 2.17? If 2.16, is there any reason for not upgrading? Also, thank you so much for adding the base dialer and Voice Command. EDIT: Okay with a hard reset...both of the above issues still persist. |

## codes work on my version of the rom, to be honest I never tested the release version. I'll take a look when I have some spare time. (voice command wasn't supposed to end up in the release rom, btw, so enjoy it I guess =p) |

on the issue of slow dialing on the dialpad, make sure your dial tones are turned off in settings > personal > phone |

I assume it's safe to flash my VZW XV6800 with this kitchen? I have it unlocked with Olipro's unlocker, and I know plenty of Moguls are flashed with Alltel Roms, so that's led me to believe that there isn't anything that will harm my phone if I do this? I was a big kitchen user with my 6700, and remember always having to select the VZW.prj project file, but I'm not sure what effect this actually had on the rom.

Hey no2chem...hope things are going good for you. I just wanted to make you aware that we're still looking forward to an update of your ROM whenever you get a chance.
|
Hey No2Chem,
Hope everything is going well. If the community can help with anything, let us know. Your time is greatly appreciated by everyone. The latest ROM doesn't manage the memory as well as the last beta. Keeps drifting down throughout the day. Also, the battery drain seems to be greater than before. Maybe will see something new before Christmas, "present". Thanks again. |
Waiting patiently
Following around 10-12 Rom flashes to try all the various flavors of ROMS out there (including the WM5 Sampson), I settled on No2Chems due to stability, memory leak solution and was able to put up with the PIE crashing via a Thunderhawk subscription. Will be looking forward to another stable ROM when No2chem finds time. I appreciate all the work all of the forum members have been doing on making the Mogul a better device than the manufacturers ever dreamed of.
Thanks a million, |
hey no2chem...I was looking through this thread again and saw that you had updated the original post, stating that the new ROM was based on 2.17 Sprint ROM. However the build is still .36 (3604). But when downloaded the nbh and started flashing it, it said the ROM was 3704. And yet after the flash, the first HTC boot screen still shows 2.16. Please let me know if you recently did an update and if you plan on doing any soon? Really looking forward to an update whenever you have some time.

The good.... Pocket IE works fine with the updated rom and Youtube videos are finally working with the TCPMP and Flashmedia file installs. Speed is good and the Memory stays stable throughout the day. Voice Command works perfectly as well.
The not so good... Has locked on a soft reset once or twice. May be a conflict with SIP change (switching automatically to PocketCM Keyboard). Happens mainly if I try to open or click on the Today screen prior to the SIP switch. Otherwise very happy with this Rom. Need to check BT functionality today. |
no2chem, do you have the original rom for the titans camera in cab form. i tried the one for the touch to try and improve it, but of course it didnt work. i would like to put the other one back cuz i prefer to have the flash back. thanks if you can help.
