Colonel 10-21 or DCD's 10-16 custom roms for Telus?
 

Hey everyone, i think this is my first post on ppcgeeks, but i've been on the xda-dev forum since i've had an htc tytn a year ago...

...anyway, i currently have a P4000 (titan) with the telus network, and unlocked it a few days ago after hearing that a few custom roms showing face. Past few days i've kept up with dcd's and colonel's releases but haven't gone as far as installing them mainly for one reason...

-The roms seem to be geared towards sprint users and their network settings and i'm not sure if those settings would work well with the telus network...i guess the same could be said if i were an altel user.

Would it be safe to flash these custom roms to my telus device and if the settings were incompatible, how hard would it be to fix this?

I'm very impressed with colonel's rom because it's sorta like an AIO and would save me the trouble of having to reinstall program after program. but i'm also interested in dcd's rom for it's cleanliness...

Any info or tips would be great. Thanks

P.S. i didn't see a thread up for colonel's new rom so i just thought i'd mention that there's an Oct21 release on the ftp if anyone's interested. Looks good too!

Do we need to unlock our phones to run this or can we just load it on? Also, if any one tries it out, I am curious to know how much memory is left. At this point that is one main reason I would change my rom.

there is a thread about a titan unlocker to load custom roms I am very new to this .. read that thread download the unlocker than go for it thats what i did ... thanks for the link but the oct21 rom is not there do you have it if so will you post it

glad to see word of the rom release is spreading, but would anyone have any info as to if network settings on these custom roms would conflict with my P4000 on the telus network?

if you used the titan unlocker both roms will work on your phone I was runnig the alltell rom and I have sprint service

Any update on this? I also am running on the TELUS Mobility network, and I don't want to lose the phone's ability to the TELUS network.

I know there were some issues on XDA regarding someone running an ALLTel rom on a Sprint device.

I am on Telus and I've tried a few roms, for some reason I have not been able to get colonels roms to work on my device. DCD's clean rom works fine so far I have been running it for a couple of days. I have tried Alltell's rom and Sprint Rom, way more junk on these than the Telus version.

if you want to flash my rom, figure out what needs to be changed for telus, and send me the settings... i can package something, or release future roms with a choice of carrier

using colonels os only rom and it works A1 for me....

still have some minor bT issues, but better then the Telus WM6 rom !

Just loaded Colonels OS on TELUS P4000.
Everything works fine for me except the tether modem mode.
However,I can use Internet Sharing with usb cable, and connected to my laptop to get online.
I have about 20mb Free Program Memory after the new flash (which about the same if I use stock TELUS WM6 + HTC Home 6tab + HTC Dial Pad + 10 buttons CommManager + some small programs"

JD, I can't seem to get past the boot loader. I keep getting a communication 262 error. Desktop and the 6800 both show an install percentage window and then the error. I have flashed my 6700 with manual RUU and built some of my own junk for it but Sprint really ticked me off when they removed the Wmodem functionality so they could get mo money from me for phone as modem functionality. Not sure what I screwed up but I can't make it past the loader. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

make sure you unlock the titan first. you need to run the spl unlock procedure if you haven't already done so.
