Well, you never know. But I'm thinking it will be a candy bar form factor. The manufacturers seem to be moving in that direction.

like I say whenever anyone says this, could you please try to type concert reviews in a mosh pit/photopit without looking at the keyboard. Swype sucks and osk suck unless you want to spend your whole time going back and correcting things as much as with speach to txt.

anyhow, try getting swype or osk to spell out last night's bands

what about text dictation. do you guys see that getting better. when that works its great but half the time it doesn't even respond like im not talking into it

funny you should ask, I just drove to concord with my new iPad and cell doing just that as I drove. Right now dragon dictations seems to be the best. I did do a bunch of searches on the iPad and it worked. One of the problems is the time that it takes after you stop and it gets the info back from the server. Weirdly, I found that my first time requesting something it would be terrible, but then the second time it would be completely accurate.

I really wish that there were SIRI on my iPad. oh well.

Will there be future qwerty phones? sure..will they be on 5/3 a galaxy s 3 with a kb..unlikely...we will definitely get a qwerty phone...the Samsung Glide is an example of a recent qwerty phone..the concern lies with what specs it will have :(


As for voice recognition..I heard a lot of good things on the up coming technologies in the field.

the future maybe.. but not the present... it took me forever to get my epic yesterday to write anything close to
"how so" and it did "house so"

Personally I wasn't too impressed...The LG one might have potential once they release the full specs but it needs a keyboard version >.>

the only good thing is that I have multiple batteries and a hotel close to MDF this year so I can swap out batteries every 2 hrs

You can always turn off corrections and see how that works.
My wife hated the virtual keyboard at first but now types crazy fast without looking.

turning off the auto-correction makes it even less accurate.

last night, I used swype to send the message "meghann is performing now" swype changed it to "meghann I'd pussyfooting more"
