Clearing

Is there an easy way to close a program after your finished besides going to task manager and shutting it down? Shouldn't you be able to just exit a program and have it close automatically?

Generally just pushing the back button until you are on a home page does it. Some apps (games especially) have exit options in their menus.

I figured that out but pushing the back button until I clear some program could take longer than just going to the home page, task manager, and clear. I haven't seen any exit buttons on the apps I have but I only have a few so far.

You don't really need an exit button..you may be able to get an app that lets you shortcut an kill button idk...personally I just hold the Home button(shows you a list of recent apps) and then hit task mgr if I need it.

I have the task manager on my home screen so whenever I finish with any program I go home, hit the task manager and kill that program. The problem would be that if you don't do that every time you will have multiple programs constantly running drawing off the battery. I feel there should be a "X" at the top of every program to close it out completely after use.

I don't mean going to the home screen, I mean hold the home button and see what happens.

Also I think if you load up cyanogenmod it has something like what you want. If you hold the back button you can close apps.
