'Bout Time to Recharge My Phone

3 Attachment(s)
With the exception of a quick 21 minute charge a few days ago, I've been on battery for 2 days, 3 hours, and 24 minutes.

Activity has included a lot of texting...about 6 phone calls...checking of email a few times a day...and the taking of about 20 pics.

Am on ACS ICS 5.5 rom and running Shadow-EI22 1.0.1+OC kernel.

...just thought I'd share.

late,
Coz

Our phones actually need to charge?

(I have 3 batteries, 1 inside the phone, 1 inside my pocket and 1 inside the external charger, whenever I ran out of power I just take the battery in my pocket and put it inside the phone, when I come home I place the dead battery on the charger and take the charged one into my pocket and the cycle repeats)

But that sounds like some pretty nice battery life...

Does ICS undervolt items or what? How does it get that good battery life. I have some increase in my battery life, but not much. I am running the Sleeper ROM.

I'm using voltage control to undervolt my frequencies for the kernel. I have not overclocked anything as the ROM/kernel combination is all pretty snappy as is on my phone. I'm then using Juice Defender to manage my radios.

Coz

Note that ACS ICS 5.5 ROM is in fact a Gingerbread build with ICS themes applied. Not aware of ICS ROMs available for the Epic just yet.
Thread: Under construction - xda-developers

Plenty of buzz around the new kernel 'Coz is using, and I think it's worthy of the attention it's getting. Again, check the XDA forums if you want to learn more.

Marcusant (OP of the under construction thread at XDA) stopped work on that ROM. He had some sort of falling out with ACS...so version 5.5 is it. He's doing a lot of work with his Revival ROM though.

And yeah, that Shadow kernel is pretty slick.

Coz
