Anyone moving to Touch 4g or Photon 4g?
I am torn with this upgrade- reason is the GPS on the EPIC is little
or no help at all. Drive me nuts. I can assume the newer phones are better in this area. I know the basics about each phone- but not how customizable these phone are. Any opinions and advice is appreciated and welcomed Thanks in advance! |

When it was stock, gps seemed to lock pretty fast. With the lost kernel, the gps seems much slower. |

I am personally waiting on an LTE device mid 2012 :/

I might pay full clip if and when LTE comes to my neck of the woods. |

As @demonlordoftheround stated GPS on my epic touch 4g locks super fast even when in the basement from my testing with a stock device. Loving it so far after making it resemble an HTC interface. :D

Gps has always worked great on my Epic. Phone is Running fast on the leaked rooted GB Rom. The qwerty is nice when I need it. That said, when I find an Epic Touch for around $ 200 on craigslist, as I did my epic last November, I'll probably buy one.

What modem are you using for the best GPS locking? Im using EH17 with GB build EG22. Is this the problem?

I'm contractually married (not unhappily) to my Epic until
November (2012). By then amazing things should have come along. BTW, this GPS fix works really well on GB roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1321049 |
