I messed up bad, need help with baseband versions!!!!!!

I was playing around, and going deeper into my phone trying to make my 3g work and i messed up my epic.

Right now my baseband and hardware version are listed as Unknown.
I have used Odin to flash back in a modem, but it doesn't seem to stick.
it sucessfully updates the modem in odin, but when i check in the phone it is still unknown.

Rom is stock and rooted DI18.

without a modem i can not go back into the phone to undo my configuration.

Can anyone help me in my situation?

Re: I messed up bad, need help with baseband versions!!!!!!

Have you tried using odin to flash the DI18 entire DI18 tar with pit file?

you can download the tar here:

yup

victory_8G_100528.pit

with

SPH-D700-DI18-8Gb-REL.tar.md5

my problem is the baseband does not change. I see the modem.bin get flashed in but it doesnt change the baseband in the phone.

Re: I messed up bad, need help with baseband versions!!!!!!

Try one of these:

1) using update.zip method to update to froyo

2) use the EB13 update tool (uses kies method of flashing)

3) Flashing a different modem then DI18 in odin

Hmm... CWM is on the phone, doesn't require a PC connection! What are you referring to?

Do you have an antivirus guaranteeing the ragecage.bin?

esteway.619 06-25-2011 10:38 PM

I would suggest leaving it on FROYO EC05(unrooted). Take it back to the Sprint store and tell them you attempted the OTA 2.2 update and now you're having issues. See if they can give you a replacement. Don't forget to clean up your sd card for any traces of rooted content.
