PLEASE SAVE MY EPIC FROM BEING THROWN IN THE TUCSON DESERT
 

OK I STOPPED USING THE BONSAI ROM WHEN FOR NO REASON IT KEPT CLOSNG THE text app. so i flashed back to syndicate and after 3 days its doing it again ive wiped 3 times and so what can be causing this. help me or im going back to the mogul :)

im not getting this journaling. do all roms have an option to journal or not and why would you not want to.

Personally I think Journaling should be on by default..but unfortunately its not on by default..

Journaling off= fastest speed, if you don't know how to take care of it it can corrupt your data.

Journaling on= a little slower but still fast, more stable and a lot less chance for data corruption.

You can flash journaling on via a zip file..there is also an option for it in the master key.

My midNIGHT 5.2 ROM is so stable and fast with journaling on that I keep coming back. Same ROM with journaling off and if I lost power for some reason, like phone drop or whatever I'd get FC's all over the place and have to wipe to stock.

I suggest usiing midNIGHT ROM, 5.5 is the current version and it has journaling on. Stay on it for a while and see how stable and fast it is. Only thing is that it is bare and you need to install options from the midNIGHT Extras folder. (installs with ROM).
