I cannot believe this crap!!!!! (Joke Post)

I can't believe it! I wasted $35 on a Sprint exchange fee to switch from the HTC Arrive with Windows Phone 7 to the Samsung Epic 4G with Android!!!

I could have saved the $35 if I had just purchased the Samsung Epic 4G in the first place! THIS PHONE IS AWESOME!!!! The flexibility of the OS is so refreshing compared to the Windows iPhone.

It has been less than 24 hours and I am already set up with exchange, e-mails, text, network, music, movies, everything and I have never used an Android device before!

Microsoft could learn a few things from Google's Android system....

Wirelessly posted (Htc Arrive: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows Phone OS 7.0; Trident/3.1; IEMobile/7.0; HTC; T7575))

Yeah Android is pretty kewl, I use the Evo for a few months and enjoyed it. Over 5 years of development they better have their stuff together.lol

If you did it within 30 days try contacting support...and see i they'd wave it...

The $35 is not worth the effort to talk to support. Plus, it clearly stated that I might have to pay the $35 restocking fee if I activated the phone but returned it within 30 days of activation.

I read your other post and was thinking that you would LOVE android as I was in a very similar situation to you coming from windows.

Glad you found android,
Force

Definitely love android. This post was more joking about the "negative" of having this phone! lol

The Epic4G is far better than the TouchPro2 running windows mobile that I came from. I too can't believe how well everything "just works" on this phone and I'm running it stock!

I agree, with winmo you had no choice but to unlock and put a custom rom just to get the phone to work right. With android, rooting and custom roms can only enhance what is already a good phone experience.

lol..yeah I know was just giving ya an option...personally I dont like talking to support either..so I just send an email and hope they just do it (which usually works)

In worst cases I just use online chat..and do my own thing while i alt tab back and forth...I hate phone support cause they keep forwarding you back and forth endlessly sigh...

privacy policy...yeah sure....

And yes, not only do they make Office for Apple computers, they bailed Apple out of going out of business back in the day..Due to M$ office sales for Apple computers...

Just because they make office for Apple does not make them pro-competitive...fyi Google makes software for iphones too...

there's no Google maps on wp7 yet, contact pictures transferred via gmail are poor quality compared to hotmail. the MS YouTube app is just a link to the mobile YouTube site because Google blocked them out of something. there was an article on wpcentral about this, but I do find that the MS YouTube app does fill the void for flash on some sites. on the other hand MS has made bing and messenger for iPhone and Android, and even allows exchange.

There is no Bing for ChromeOS yet..why not? same reason those WP7 apps are not as good/lacking...because WP7 came out recently and they did not have enough time to implement it..its also possible that due to M$ limiting access to native code gives Google the disadvantage on the platform..

A lot of people misunderstand how evil Google's revenue model really is..Far superior then M$...why? because google makes 0$ on Android...yup 0$..and they make 0$ on everything else they do...the money they make on Android apps is just icing on the cake....but they make their money from Adsense! aka ads...thats pretty much over 90% of their earnings...EVERYTHING they do is made to compliment Adsense...

So things like Google maps, youtube etc are all things to help compliment Adsense..so if it were up to them theyd get the best version possible onto WP7 as thats their CORE money maker...Android just gives them more control of pre-loading their Google stuff...Ive seen apps made by Google come to iOS even before Android on some occasions...simply because they push am out as soon as they can due to it being their money maker...

Why do you think Google wants to now give away free internet to people? cause the more ppl that have internet access..the more likely you are to use Google and make them money..via Adsense..

Notice how Google does not let devices have Android market unless they use their Google services...because in comparison Android market is not their core money maker..Adsense via Google Maps, Google search and etc is!
