I was ODIN EC05 and it locked up for 15 minutes. I pulled the cable and now I have a cellphone icon, a triangle with an exclamation mark and a computer icon

What can I do? Help please. Thanks!

sounds like your just in download mode or is it different looking than that? so you were using odin for modem and this happened?

Yes! I was in download mode before this. I odin as usual and even followed Rob's video. ODIN was in Modem mode and it wasn't progressing. Windows is not recognizing my phone. Is there hope?

you got a im client on pc? so the triangle is not same as dl mode triangle? pulling battery should allow you to get into cwm or recovery or (oh hell) dont you have a backup?

It is differenent looking than the normal download mode with the android digging, This a cell phone symbol with a doted line going to a computer symbol and a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark in the middle bewteen the cell phone symbol and the computer. It indicates a to ma a break in communications between the phone and computer, but i cannot get out of it,. ODIN doesn't recognize a com port.

pulling battery makes no difference. I cannot get cwm. I don't care if I lose data. No matter what I do I get the same screen. and it won't shut off unless I pull the battery.

ahhh your fine, its the black screen with little phone ect in middle cause you pulled the plug on odin. ya just pull battery for minute then put it in and 3 fingers to clockwork.

well i guess you edited post, i had that screen when i first started and pulling battery worked with 3 fingers to cwm. see if you can get to dl mode again after pulling battery, make sure phone is off.

This happened to me before, not a problem.

My memory is a bit fuzzy but try to unplug the cord from your phone, then unplug the battery, put it back in then press power button and 1 at same time using this to turn on the phone.

Man, I remember the first time that happened to me, after all the researching I did before flashing, I never came across those symbols on any site or any explanation of what they meant. I sorta-kinda panicked but without being prompted I pulled the battery out and went back in to download mode (1 button + power button) and was back in business.

Now in CWM. Had to do three finger reboot while attached to USB. If I REBOOT SYSTEM NOW, I get the same screen

Going into clockwork isn't really going to help..unless you plan to make a backup....if something is damaged during odin, only odin can fix it.

Do go thru CWM take out your battery put it back in and press 1+power button. It might not work the first time but keep trying it.

I have pulled the battery about 50 times. I tried pressing 1 and power after pulling it did the same. Maybe I should flash the ROM again?

Did you try pulling battery then, then put it back in..hold 1 key and while holding 1 key press power?

if that fails, plug in the usb cord, take out battery and try powering it on + 1 key without battery

I love you guys. Ok, finally got normal download screen after multiple attempts. If I pulled the battery while in CWM, it worked. Now it rebooted into CWM and I reboot and it works. Thank you all so much!

It was doing it with the USB cord that got me back to CWM and then pulling out and then replacing the battery while in CWM that got me into download mode when I press 1+power.

Hey Guys/Girls

Some help would be appreciated with a similar error to the one described in this post.

Difference is, I have a Galaxy Tab, P1000, which poses the following issue, no battery to drop, as it is a sealed unit.

I used ODIN3 V1.3 to flash the ROM, however, it seemed that the process hung, thus I removed the cable, which then led to the infamous "Phone-Exclamation-Android" logo issue.

I tried doing a hard reset, power on plus volume up key, however, it simply shows me that logo.

Any suggestions?

Sorry to bump this old post but im going through the same thing. except my screens keep changing colors while Odin is doing its work. Is that normal? So I unplug it and try again and the progress gets further before changing colors.
I kinda messed up my girlfriends phone so any help would help.
I tried the directions here but it wont even boot if the battery isnt in.

1) what did you do prior to this happening?

2) Define "changing colors"

3) When you plug in the phone, is it charging? (make sure you are booting when its plugged in)

I got it past that now. And now its stuck at the SGS4g screen. Wont go past it. But will cut off.

I just got finished installing ([ROM] Valhalla v1.2 [KI1][Based on 2.3.5 leak!][9.22.2011] - Page 83 - xda-developers) Valhalla rom and its been stuck for exactly 24 minutes.

um..why did you flash a Vibrant 4G rom onto an epic 4g? or do you have a vibrant 4g and not an epic?

if you have a vibrant 4g:
usually it gets stuck at that screen when there is a problem with the kernel...and by the instructions you have to first odin a gb rom for the proper bootloader, then odin a kernel.

sorry to interupt but im having same prob with samsung tocco icon S5260. My daughter forgot the phone passswword so i flashed it with firmware from fastgsm. It went fine but wouldnt come off red download bar so i removed the battery. Now all i get is the mobile...yellow triangle...pc symbol. Please help shes only 10 & has has the phone 3 weeks!

This is not an Android phone so its hard for use to tell you if its same as our phones. Try re-flashing it again? or make it easy, if the place you bought it has 30 day return policy make use of it and get a new one.

Had this happen last night when using Odin to flash back to Stock EC05 (prior to manually updating to EI22).

I pulled the battery and left it out, connected the phone to the PC, put the phone in Download Mode, then flashed in Odin (with battery still out).

Once the flash passed, I put the battery back in, disconnected the cable, and powered up the phone.

And all was good!

So did I, that's funny. I was at work.

Hey i have this same screen for the last two days.. what did you do to fix it?? ive tried a lot but i may not be doing it right... it happened after a disconnect while updating to new firmware.

im new to rooting and i have this problem also and couldnt get rid of it...odin would just get stuck on

Try taking out the battery, pluging it in and hold the 1 + power.
