Sprint TEP app doesn't support Epic. Post your rant here>
So PPCG reported on the new Total Equipment Protection app and I'm thinking this is a good thing. So then I go check it out at Sprint.com/Protection just to find out that the app isn't supported on the Epic. Really?
Can somebody explain to me why Sprint continues to diss the Epic? IT’S THE BEST PHONE THEY SELL, is it too much to ask for a little support? Oh, and I just noticed that the locate function works through text. Awesome, since I will most likely not be receiving texts while my phone is lost. A company run by idiots, for real. |

Perhaps you're confusing that goofy TEP app with TEP itself? Not sure why the Epic isn't listed as supported for the APP, but you can definitely get the TEP service via your Sprint account. |

The app now supports the Epic. You can use all the functions from the web interface. It seems pretty functional. have not tried the wipe, but locate and backup work.

I installed it on mine today on rooted stock with no issues, so must be a rom issue. Try this method? Step 2 - Get Application Download Link Via Text Message http://totalequipmentprotection.com/ |

I'm thinking it's a ROM issue. Check out this screenshot of the "Supported Devices" page. It says Epic, but only 2.1, and last but not least, this picture ISN'T EVEN AN EPIC. Crying out loud. The Epic4G is the Rodney Dangerfield of smartphones! |
