So I learned a valuable lesson while flashing my phone today
1) when going to froyo 2.2.1 to 2.1, don't bulk restore all apps in titanium backup
2) after you go back to 2.1 and then break your phone trying to restart all apps and data in titanium backup, don't say "screw it" and trying to use clockwork to switch back to 2.2.1 on your drive home. |

So, how did that work out for you? |
Re: So I learned a valuable lesson while flashing my phone today
terribly... now I'm back on eclair... and I hate it. nothing works. I'm going to back up my txts, re-wripe it, bring it in tomorrow, update to froyo DK28, and then restore from cwm.
none of the apps that I had installed/backed up are working right. email isn't working. all my accounts aren't working. this sucks. oh well, good things is that I only have to get through my radio show, and my phone only has to do one thing in the AM which is be able to receive a call to turn my station on. |
Re: So I learned a valuable lesson while flashing my phone today
I can tell you that I stopped using the batch restore function in TB awhile ago. It always seems to create problems. If I restore them one at a time they always work much better.

Re: So I learned a valuable lesson while flashing my phone today
TB gives me my voicemails back... that is about all it seems to be good for.

Re: So I learned a valuable lesson while flashing my phone today
hm.. actually, 2.1 is running so much faster and snappier than my 2.2.1 install which was freezing all the time and now my email finally is connecting... I might just leave it at 2.1 for now.

Re: So I learned a valuable lesson while flashing my phone today
I had to do a batch restore last week. A Sprint Tech mistakenly blamed my phone for a data problem that Sprint was having all over the SouthWest and got me to do a hard reset. I had backed up in TB and in MyBackup. When I looked at the Restore in TB I felt uneasy. MyBackup looked a lot cleaner and clearer so I went with it. It was one-click easy and worked perfectly. Everything came back except my desktop icons and widgets, which needed cleaning up anyway. IMO MBu rules.
