Same here. VC is the only thing I miss so far on my Epic.

Re: voice command

I have never got anything to work over Bluetooth either.. Im on a Jawbone Icon, it sucks because BT will help with video calls as well. Hopefully I was doing it wrong but I have a few questions as well..

1) Does anyone else have the issues of the headset disconnecting randomly and not being able to connect back sometimes?

2) what is the point of voice dialer? Doesn't voice command take all of the same commands? And why does voice dialer have terrible recognition?

3) Is there an app that allows voice dialing by pressing the button on the headset? What about Nuance like on the Moment? If other phones i.e. HTC or Moto have the feature what do they use?

Thanks in advance..

Re: voice command

voice dialing via headset button press would be nice.. my TP2 had it.

Vlingo does work really well for me.

I have not gotten voice dial to work w/ vlingo. it will not accept spoken digits only contacts or other recognized commands.

Still, Vlingo in-car is just SICK..

Using it frequently

You will get bluetooth voice dialing with 2.2 froyo update. That's how it was on my evo and sprint just posted the same thing for the epic. I also heard update for epic is going start going out today the 26th. Cross your fingers epic users. I will definitely try the epic after this update.

I have Froyo 2.2.1 on my phone now (DK28 'leak').. no voice dial

No official OTA on the 26th :/ not till late in January from the rumors I've read.

Re: voice command

I bought my Epic this week. I was told by Sprint sales clowns that it was automatically upgraded to Froyo, yet voice command doesn't seem to be available on my Plantronics Voyager Pro. I really would like to be able to push a button and be able to call by voice command. Any new suggestions? Thanks

David

Did you try loading up a rom with Froyo? as Froyo is not officially available from sprint yet..

Re: voice command

No I didn't because they lied and told it was installed. If it says my firmware is 2.1, then it isn't upgraded, right? Thanks.
