Using Handcent as Default app on Froyo

I'm trying to set Handcent as my default messaging app, but the Clear Defaults button is greyed out on Messaging in the Manage Applications area in stock Froyo... They would make this a pain wouldn't they? Anyone have any ideas?

Yes, that works for new messages, but not for when you click on a tree of messages under the messaging shortcut in TW.

i just remove stock widget then turn off notifications for it and use sms bomber as default.
