Epic 4g officially on Boost?
I was on craiglist looking for another epic when i seen an add that said epic or evo flashed to boost so i send the guy how much he charges he told me $250 i told him that was to much not worth the risk of swaping esn and getting caught and adding the phones cost. He mentioned that no one else can do it the way he does it that all sprint's stuff was going to work properly because he and his partner had a contract with Sprint to add the epic or evo to boost. I told him he was crazy no way Sprint was going to allow a exclusive phone to be on boost. He said it was a win win for them it meant more money for them. I told him no thanks latez.
But is this possible? oh yeah the ad is on craigs so cal site. |

Re: Epic 4g officially on Boost?
Thats what i thought just wanted to make sure. But after going back in forth i told him i didnt believe that to me it was a esn swap and it was to much what he was asking for so i even told him drop the price on it a bit and maybe will talk he said he couldnt because hes not the one that sets the price that it is not set by them either. He also sells the evo and epic on boost for $600 which he says they were added to the boost net by his method

Palm Pre is an exclusive phone... you can head over to precentral where you'll find some threads talking about meta doctor and got it to work on boost. You can bet most of their sprint apps did work on boost... what you didn't kno... well now you know. But I'm considering epic on the boost is possible... I don't know about apps not being able to function but if sprint navigation worked on boost with palm pre then I don't see why sprint navigation wouldn't work on epic either.

Further, If you read my post, I didn't mention that Sprint Nav didn't work. It used to work when you chose a subscription, but it never charged for it. NFL, NASCAR, etc. does not work. I could very easily put my Epic on boost if I wanted to, but after my 'employee' discount of 27% I'm paying $115 for 2 devices vs. $100 for Boost. Not worth all the aggravation to save $15. There is NO "method" to add the Epic MEID to Boost's "system".. contrary to what anyone else tells you.. when you enter the MEID into the computer, it says "invalid rate plan" and will not allow it to activate. Totally different than hacking a Pre to work on Boost. Either method involves a donor device and the altering of MEID's. Further discussion of which isn't allowed per forum rules :) EDIT: I had a samsung moment fully functional on Boost, and a Hero for my wife. These were the devices that we were using before we switched to postpaid. I now have an Epic and she has an intercept FWIW. On both of our 'un allowed' android devices, sprint Nav worked but the NFL, NASCAR, Sprint TV etc. did not. |

By the way... You gotta have a donor phone to get the epic to work with boost if you know how to to obtain the msl # do some research... Well I can't discuss it any further so the bucks stops here. Adios. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk |
Re: Epic 4g officially on Boost?
Right now I got 5 lines on EDRP plan...the plan is 110$ for 2 lines and each line is 15$ so thats 155$ for 5 lines...aka $31 per line and 1 line has $10 fee so 41$...
I think thats a good enough deal in itself..cheaper then sero even :/ |

I totally get what you're saying though. If I could have afforded the Epic outright, this would have been the preferred route, but alas, the subsidized temptation overtook me and I just couldn't resist LMFAO.. OH.. and more than MSL#.. AAA key, HDR long (username and password) HDR short username/password.. and more is required ;) but again.. not discussing how to obtain, or where to get, or what to do with it ;) |
The Temptation is a calling lol
