Hi guys.
I'm trying to get app to track biking, but not a single app is getting gps signal. But gps works just fine with maps, navigation or sprint navigation.
Any suggestions?
Thanks an avance.

Well, I turned off "use wireless" under location, now my gps is not wroking even with Spint's maps. I called Sprint and they say GPS will work only if there is wireless service available. Is that the problem GPS everybody talking about? How come my firend's IPhone getting GPS locked with wireless service turned off.

It does not need "use wireless" to work..try launching google maps and have it activate gps then go to the other app. If not try reseting your phone.

Just open up Maps app...it should start GPS..also pull down the notifications bar and make sure GPS is on in the first place just in case you have it turned off altogether)

Yes, GPS is green there. And little antenna is blinking.
If I go to Sprint Navigation, there diagnostics tool there,"Getting GPS" sits for ever there, then GPS status failed.
Shell I return this phone and get another one?
thanks for help.

1) what about the Maps App..does it find you?

2) have you tried to reset your phone?

3) when you are testing, do you have a clear view to the sky?

Hi.
yes, done all that. Diagnodstics tools still showing 0% GPS.
I turned off GPS and let only wireless to work, also no go.
May be it is what it is:it needed wireless and GPS to work.
Just weired that other phones get satellite lock with wireless turned off, and I don't.
Thanks for help.

Just tested it...took a bit of time to lock since I was indoors but both Google Maps and Sprint Telanav worked flawlessly

off..I never had it on to begin with....

Wait a second...I am curios..are you talking about going into airplane mode and using GPS? or having it off in locations & security...

By off I mean I have it off in "locations & security"..

if you mean turn of your data connection/wireless connection...apps like Telanav and google maps wont work...you would need a GPS software that actually stores maps on your sd card.

Yes, I'm talking about tuning it off in "location and security".
And on the top of that, I was standing with my friend's EVO in one hand, and it got 4 satellites lock, mine got 0.
Now I'm really pist off.
But thank you for trying to help me:)
