Something has to be wrong with my battery right?

So I took my Epic ( not rooted ) off the charger at 11 last night. Brightness is as low as it gets, I am not using a live wallpaper, and I also had placed it in airplane mode, and killed the apps

Wake up at 6 this morning and I only had 38 percent left on the battery?

No way in hell can this be right?

what widgets do you have running ?

Are you using the most recent (DI18 ) update ?

Do you have background sync turned on ?

All of this matters.

Yes, but the phone was in airplane mode so........I also got really really tire of having to turn it off and on and off and on

Should it though.....I know these phones are borderline computers, but if its not going to last me half a day with the phone in airplane mode, what good is it, especially for $300+.

Have you read through this thread?

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/sprint-epi...ance-talk.html

Its a lot to go through if you haven't but pretty much every battery issue we have encountered is discussed there.

Yanno, I wonder if before DI18 my battery was ever as great as I thought. I knew the stock battery meter was off but its unbelievable how off it really is. Lookin at it & seeing a tiny slice gone I was thinking I was in the 90s at least mid 80s ... No lower 70s .... With what appears to be 3/4 of a full meter is 50% ... I suppose with dg27 I didn't care because I got amazing battery life .... since DI18 2 hours into my day im at 70 ... im gonna read that thread johnny.bravo posted maybe i will see something that will help .. im stock btw 100%

i didnt say it was rooted but we needed more info. to help, drm is not your only issue here though. might be better now with drm off/removed but still drm isnt only issue. goodluck

It was playing a substantial part. I looked up my usage in spare parts, it was at 99.2 percent. Turned off drm and after a day at work i only dropped about 20% in battery life and spare parts had me at 38%
