Anybody wanna see the image burnt in my screen?

i use samsung home for dock mode. thats the only time my screen is on for an extended amount of time. ive used the sprint antiglare screen protector till yesterday too. i decided to take it off yesterday and go naked screened. i was launching the browser and low and behold, on the all white screen i noticed some circles on the screen. i went ahead and downloaded a screentest app and found i could duplicate this on almost any solid color.
my evo camera wouldnt flash cuz the batt was almost dead, but the pictures still came out pretty good. you can really see it on red and blue more so than white.

this is what it normally looks like on the dock and this is the images burnt in to the screen...

i didn't know amoleds were capable of burn-ins.
my phone is on the fedex truck right now... and it concerns me enough to think about refusing when it arrives. :( hmm.

if this is not an isolated incident... then where are the screen savers?

Have you tried reseting that by making the screen all white? its not exactly image burn in..whats happening is this..you got 3 colors..you use 1 color more then the other and that happens..but it evens out in the end..you made your entire screen blue..and blue is the color that eats away the fastest (not to mention they include extra blue)

White is unfortunately made when using all 3 colors..similar to gray...it is not image burn in..the color is just being used up...when the use is uneven things like that happen..

Let me give you an example:

most of your screen used up 1% blue..while some of your screen used up 5% blue...so that 5% differentiation is seen like that...

That said do you have your screen on all the time like that as a clock? cause keeping a static image is on for long period of time is bad on any screen...

yea. samsung home doesnt give you the option to turn it off. if your in dock mode, the screen is on. wether its screen burn or not, its getting replaced.
im using a samsung phone with a samsung dock and samsungs dock software. if its going to leave an image on the screen like that, thats something that should be taken care of.

Yeah... but if it's the AMOLED thats susceptible to burn-in effect.... then isn't the problem a larger one for the industry to deal with.

I was planning on getting one of those docks for my desk. But now am thinking twice about the phone as a whole. my year old tp2 doesn't have this issue.
