lots of gps zips posted in viper rom thread, i will bring one over here if you cant find them. use "paperclip" on vipers thread.

thanx viper for gps fix. you need to flash this after you flash froyo rom before you reboot, so flash rom/flash fix/reboot.

Maybe if I have ten hours to flash it over and over and test it out something will happen but I am going back to Epic Experience 2.1 until the official release comes out. I tried and failed. Thank you all for the great info.

So I had an ample amount of time over the weekend to perform my own method and steps. Here are the methods I used to flash to Epic Experience (DK28) on 2.2.1 :
Wipe phone.
Odin 1.3 to DJ27
Provisioned Voice/ Data/ PRL/ Update Android
Update Android (downloads and updates the Maintenance Release sent by Sprint)
Provisioned Voice/ Data/ PRL/ Test GPS (accurate to 10 meters via google maps)
Odin 1.3 to DK28 modem + pit
Provisioned Voice/ Data/ PRL/ Update Profile/ Test Gps (accurate to 10 meters via google maps)
Rooted using ( http://firon.net/xda/one.click.root.exploitv2.5.5.zip )
Booted into Clockwork then Wiped Data 3X , Wiped Cache 1 time (per Schizo)
Flashed Epic Experience.
Provisioned Voice/ Data/ PRL/ Update Profile/ Test GPS (accurate to 10 meters via google maps)
It's a long process. Trust me. but it's worth it when you see that GPS Lock indoors next to a window.
Hope this helps anyone that can't get GPS lock when Odin to Epic Experience Froyo (DK28.)

So, you're doing this procedure to get within 30' of an accurate position? What is the acceptable accuracy of a cell phone's GPS? Not just Epic but cell phone's in general.
