The dark side is strong Doc... I'm having a difficult time NOT considering another Android phone once my year with my EVO is done. ESPECIALLY since the choices on Sprint are so limited and Android/manufacturers putting out such beautiful devices.

i'd be willing to upgrade to this phone. but i'm waiting for the evo 3d to drop so i can compare and decide which i would like.

Where Sprint fails at is timing (as usual)...
This phone should have been announced and released WAY before the Kyocera Echo, then maybe it'll hit some sales. Instead they will release it probably a month before the EVO 3D and with such stale/dated hardware, who is going to buy it then? Froyo was important because of flash and bluetooth support, Gingerbread 2.4 which the EVO 3D needs to ship with for multi-core support will give us pretty much the rest of our immediate needs. Then updates won't be as important anymore (for the time being anyways), so better hardware will become the more immediate concern when comparing what you want in a phone. I thought the phone was going to drop a day or so after the announcement, a this rate the buzz is all over and I can't justify buying a phone that has no more enhancements then it's TMobile sibling from 5 or 6 months after that phone was released. Sprint should change their tagline from, "The Now Network", to the, "Six Month Ago Idea Network".

I agree somewhat with that, except they would have the first cdma version...plus it's going to get ALL android updates, some of those won't make it to the evo 3d.
