Re: HTC Aria - nice size, features

no sideloading apps kinda sucks though. can only install things from the market. once its rooted wont be a problem but this practice of locking down features on android phones seems to be a pattern for att

HTC Aria goes official for AT&T, gets toyed with on video (update: $130, coming June 20)

Re: HTC Aria - nice size, features

Maybe the phone would last longer than 6 hours between charges. *snicker*

Yeah, hopefully Aria's 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor is not only slightly faster than Hero's 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7600, but is also more power efficient. Still, the primary thing Aria has going for it is: Form factor. It's less massive, doesn't have Hero's big chin, feels nice in the hand thanks to it's smooth rubbery coating with relieved back edges, and is way more pocket friendly than the cutting edge phones with faster processors and 3.7 to 4.3" huge screens.

the Sprint hero doesn't have a "big chin" This thing just looks like a Diamond running android, lol, I just think it would be pretty dumb to waste an upgrade on this. Maybe get one on ebay for $200 for the girlfriend w/o a contract or something...
