How to insert images in Signature
 

Here is a step by step process on how to insert images into your signature... As a heads up, Puff has pointed out that you can also manually add images using these tags- - -> [img] Image URL [/img] (No spaces between Tags..)

1) Find an image you would like to insert.. For this example, I will use the Coz Boogie Militia Banner

When you find an image you like, you must right click on the image and

click "Copy Image Location"... Make sure you click this choice and not any other

2) Go to your 'Edit Signature' page

3) There is an icon http://67.228.199.237/forum.ppcgeeks...nsertimage.gif <- - - (this) that you need to click on.. It is located near the scroll bar...

After that, you will have this screen

4) Now you need to right click and paste the image link

5) After this, you can either click 'Save Signature' or 'Preview Signature'

6) Congrats! You now have an image in your signature! This can work for banners and images..

Here is a collection of images you may want to insert into your signature... Listed below are some of the most commonly used inserts I have found on this site.. This way instead of having to search for them, you can just come here instead... Also, this site has a good collection of 'userbars' as they are called...

Is there a place on the site that host all of this images or signature files? i copied mine from another user, but I'm sure there are some other sigs out there that people may like. If they are all in one place it would be easier to do.

How about editing your OP with instructions on how to add a link to the image like a lot of ours have.

Right...so like when you roll over my images you see my Coz one links to the Boogie Militia thread and my DMB one links to the DMB website.

It's as easy as going back into Edit Signature after you've saved your signature or after you've hit preview signature so the actual image shows up in the edit box and then clicking the image and the hitting the link button on the advanced edit toolbar.

btw you can also manually add imgs using good old skool [img] and [/img] tags ;-)

Good point Puff.. I will add that to the OP.. Doing it my way is longer, but easier.. Yours is for intermediate and advanced users :)

I don't get it -- I mean, I'm all for tutorials and everything but can't people figure this out by themselves? Is it really that tricky??

You copy link location of an image, and then click that image icon in the control panel, and paste in the URL. Done.

I prolly sound like a d*ck and stuff, but seriously if people on a "geeks" forum can't figure out how to cut and paste a frickin image url into their signature, then maybe they shouldn't be allowed to!..

Thanks for this tip. The original way seems to be outdated since I don't have an option to enter a URL, nor any icon that was being referred to. The old skool way works well though.

most likely it's because your not using the "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing" - which can be changed in your profile options under Message Editor Interface
