FTP Limitations
 

Due to the recent FTP activity today, I've had to put a few limitations on the FTP.

- A limit of 100 total connections (I might increase this back up to 200 if it becomes a problem)
- A limit of 2 connections per host (you can only download 2 files at a time)
- Bandwidth will be cut to 20Kbps after the first 100Mb is downloaded (since most ROMs are well below 100Mb)

This way if some rogue file gets on the FTP, this should help keep the load down until we can catch it and take care of it.

If any of these settings becomes a problem, please reply to this post and let me know.

On a side note, I'm not sure what was done, but I now have the permissions to delete files that I uploaded:) (before I could not)

Well, I know Vogue roms sometimes push 100 mb, so I know Diamond and Touch Pro can be well over 100 mb, and with the upcoming tPro2 and D2, the ROMs will be HUGE as well...

So I think you should consider increasing the bandwidth reduction to at least 150mb...

I've posted a screenshot... i can't make it any easier. If you can't get it from here, you probably shouldn't use the FTP. It is anonymous, no password, just plug ppcgeeks.com into your FTP program... I don't understand where the problem is.

uhh, yeah, you probably won't want to use the FTP from your PPC. Glad you got it squared away.
