The "snow" script is causing high CPU utilization.

I've seen this before with other screen scripts. The snow is interesting, but is causing my notebook's fan to run all the time and it's rather distracting. My vote is to remove it. Because of it, I'm keeping PPCGeeks off until I read the threads, as opposed to leaving it on all it time.

Go to ppcgeeks.com, look at the bottom left of your screen. You can change views. This will help you out until it is removed. I think there is one called lite. Once you want to change back, go to usercp, edit options, pick reset defaults and save.

Re: The "snow" script is causing high CPU utilization.

Haha it took me a second to realize it was snow. I thought I had a stuck/lit pixel or two at first, then I saw them moving and was like WTF, then I realized "oh it must be snow."

Now I'm in "Lite" view and want to switch back, I went to User CP, chose Edit Options, and only see "Reset Fields". Tried it but no joy. How do I switch back? Thanks!

Edit: I had to log out to exit the lite mode. I am now using the "Default" view and there is no snow. All is good again.

Hit reset fields then hit save.

Re: The "snow" script is causing high CPU utilization.

By the way, the snow script was cute at first but started to annoy me a little. I already have adblock plus installed, so I just hit the stop sign, and blocked http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/snow.js - make sure you tell it only to block that or else it will block the entire forums portion of the site. That effectively nukes the snow on the full versoin.
