Clock in Taskbar...disable?
 

In WM6.5 how do I disable the clock up in the taskbar? it is blocking my HTC task manager icon.

On mine I can get there by going to Start\Settings then select the Clocks and Alarms icon which will open up the three tabbed screen. Select the "More" tab and make sure the "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs" box is not checked.

I don't have a more tab in my version of 6.5...only time and alarms

Have to disable it in the registry.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\ShowTitleBarClock set to 0. :)

0 should show the battery on the taskbar. Try changing it to 2 and see if that does it. Change it and then save. Then wait a min and soft reset. That should do it if it sticks. :)

Hmm...strange.
0 should be battery
1 should be clock
2 should be nothing
3 should be both
Maybe you should ask the chef of your ROM. :scratch:

I did, he has no idea as he has never had the urge to remove...could it be the build? 23089

Dunno...Is the clock there by default with his rom? If not can you hard reset? If yes then is the taskbar a custom one? Maybe ask the taskbar creator.

it is there by default, don't know if it is a custom taskbar...

Ask your chef. Maybe tsowen made it or gadgetfreak. If so they might know how to edit it out. :)

I would install Advanced Config 3.3. There is a drop down in Today to change clock to battery icon. Hope this helps

If you are using 6.5.1 there is no known way of removing the clock. What people did to fix this issue was make the task manager icon invisible.

lol too complicated, I just decided to use Showcase and put it on a hardware button. :) But thanks though ;)
