Omnia i910 keeps changing WLAN settings..HELP!
 

I'll try to make this short. I use WMWifiRouter to tether my laptop to my Omnia so I can get online at home, no other internet where I live, and the 3G does pretty decent. My problem began when I flashed to the CF03 ROM. Now when I try to use the WMWifiRouter program, it keeps waiting on ICS, but when I look into the network manager under the network adapters, the Sychip WLAN settings have changed from "use server assigned IP" to "use specific IP address". Why is it doing this. I can change it, do a crash cleanup under WifiRouter, and a soft reset and maybe re-establish a conncetion after 2-3 attempts. Anyone got a solution? Also, I use to have a CAB downloaded that would keep my 3G connection from dropping out all the time while using the WifiRouter program and me having to re-establish it. Anyone know where I can find this as well? Any help will save my phone, because it is about to become a "brick" literally when I throw it into a wall.

Why don't you try tethering with the cable. If you're the only user, it's a non-issue.

I'm not the only user, and I prefer to be wireless, that way I can print when I need to, and the WMWifirouter program needs to be running to enable a wireless network.

Might want to reinstall your ICS files or try version .91 of WMWifiRouter if you have a diff copy. Not connecting with your USB to check if ICS is working to begin with is leaving too many questions

i have been having issues with my wifi for awhile now. i have tried everything from hard reseting both the my storage, and the device, choosing different roms, etc. and nothing has worked. i did a test today to see if its a problem was only on my device (thinking that the lan adaptor in the phone might be going bad.) But i have ruled that out because i went back to some older builds, and the wifi has no issues on the older builds. So the conclusion is that its the newer builds, and im extremely surprised that nobody has corrected this issue yet. my problem started about 6-8 builds ago.
