Blasphemous question

I understand that this question may be born out of my ignorance, but is it possible to install a ROM on the Omnia running a mobile OS other than WinMo? I know that the Andromnia project has been off and on for quite some time, but that it isn't ready for prime-time. My wife picked up a Droid yesterday, and I have to admit that I am completely floored. I'm running 6.5.1, but I want more than what WinMo offers in its UI. I've tried M2D and SPB3.5 and it's still WinMo.

Theortically sure, but no one has been able to get everything working. Android is close, can't charge though. I heard someone got Windows 3.1 running on an Omnia. No radio stuff though. I think that as far as a non-WinMo OS, Android is the best bet. There is a Thread over at Modaco about it.
