getting lotus notes email on omnia?

Hey guys, at work I have lotus notes for my email. Problem is, they won't set it up on a non work related cell phone. Is there anyway or program that I can get around this and load it myself? Would be nice to be able to get my work email on my phone.

It has been years since I used Lotus Notes but I seem to remember it had the ability to auto-forward email to another email address. If you can do this you can have your work email forwarded to a private account you have set for the phone to receive...a workaround that won't involve your company's IT department having to arrange network access for your phone.

I'm using Lotus Traveler on my Omnia and it works fantastically. I don't think there is a way to get it to work without your system admin giving you access on the server side though. I believe there is a license fee your company has to pay per user.

I currently use Lotus Notes for work as well. If the IT deptartment does not allow email to fwd to non work related phones you can set up an "agent" to forward email to your personal email which can then be accessed by your phone.

Search the help for mail forward agent and follow the instructions. It's pretty easy to create the agent, but I'm pretty sure it would go against your companies IT policies.
