Wow lol. How the heck did you find it, that is what is most unbelievable to me! Where I live some bum would have gotten it long before I reached it lol. Amazing story though, thanks for sharing!

We'll just have to come up with another excuse, I mean "reason", to buy the Omnia II.:headbang:

Just for fun, attached is an Excel spreadsheet comparing the hottest phones out or nearly out: The HTC Imagio, HTC Touch Pro 2, Samsung Omnia, and Samsung Omnia II. Feature for feature, Omnia II is the ticket. Enjoy!

"just for fun, attached is an excel spreadsheet..."

LOL...You need to let me show you what "fun" really is, Rolijen. The Omnia is nice and all, but creating an excel spreadsheet for it didn't come close to making the cut on my "to do" list. :)

Actually, I'm really enjoying this phone. It's advantage over the iPhone (apart from it's network availability) is it's depth of customization. You can really make it your own. That is, if you have the intellectual savvy (geekiness) to dive into this little Windows Mobile computing cloud represented by this website and a handful of others. Of course, the benchmark that all this customization has it's sights on is the iPhone, so it's all the same in the end. LOL

Yeah, I'm happy with this one...for the time being.

Well, in the suburb where I am, it would have more likely been the Bernie Madoff type of bum to have picked it up than the down and out kind. Of course, it's gone either way.

Come on, you know spreadsheets are fun! :D (I'll admit, I actually do like working with spreadsheets, but I accept the fact that I'm a nerd...and what's better than a spreadsheet about cool new tech toys!)

EDIT: Whoa, I just checked out that spreadsheet and the Omnia II rocks! I mean, I knew that already but it's always nice to have that even further proven. It's even going to be a tad slimmer than the Omnia 1! One correction to the specs though, I'm pretty sure the Omnia II has 512MB storage memory and 256MB program memory as shown here: post on modaco

I have always made spreadsheets and machined replicas of the devices to the best of my ability to compare size , before purchasing my next new device :D

It's not something you 'want' to do , its an 'OCD compulsion' :p

I'm telling you. It's gonna rock. And regarding my OCD, I just cut and pasted the info from Verizon's website and one other phone site and, boom...instant spreadsheet. I took like 5 minutes to create and highlight it. For a nerd like me, that's fast! I usually spend hours seeking perfection on my spreadsheets. Hope a few ppcgeeks find it of value. If you like, I can add "survives being run over" to the Omnia column!
