is there a screen lock that is hidden or secret in function?

is there a screen lock where the slide is hidden or there is some gesture you do on the screen that is not obvious?

i don't really want to lock my phone with a passcode... but i've always thought having a slide or some gesture on the screen that is hidden would be cool.

well if u want it to ask for the slider each time u wake the phone up, simply hold the end key for 2 seconds and it will go to the slider screen. then press the top button. next time u wake up the device it will present u with the slider screen.

EDIT: i forgot to ask, do u have 6.5? if not, look up S2U2, just make sure u download the wqvga version.

Hope this helps,
Ryan

thanks for the quick reply.

i forgot to include that i am using a 6.5 ROM and i also am presently using S2U2.

but i'm looking for a screen lock that doesn't have the obvious slider with "slide to unlock" written there... one that uses some hidden gesture on the screen.... something that another person wouldn't know to do if they picked up the phone.

i'm don't think there's one like that yet but here's what you could try:

if you're good at editing dll files and whatnot, you could always just create a blank image that the current slider uses and replace it with that.

OR

just ask one of the chef's to do it :)

I answered this on Modaco also.

ThrottleLock will do what you want.

thanks for all the replies. :)

that ThrottleLock looks promising.

is there a way to modify S2U2? i really do enjoy that app and i use an animated Gif as my lock screen wallpaper... i don't think you can do that on ThrottleLock. is there a way to just remove the slider and "slide to unlock" from S2U2 so that you unlock the same way but you couldn't see the slider?

Thanks to Syrguy, the Slider and border are transparent.

S2U2 is very customizeable. I use an animated gif that looks like buttons lighting up. The slide logo is my company's logo and bar is invisible.

thanks very much for this reply... i overwrote the folder with your zipped folder and i'm still having some issues..

the semi-transparent rounded bar that the slider sits on along with two small purple dots that are on that bar are still there.

any ideas?
