Windows Mobile Marketplace is Up and Running!

In case you missed it, Marketplace (Microsoft's App Store) is up and running as of yesterday. Those of you on a cooked 6.5 ROM most likely have a link to marketplace in your start menu (unless your chef took it out). Anyways, just tap on that bad boy to download and install the cab and you should be up and running.

Happy downloading

yeah... and all the apps install to your friggin DEVICE memory, with no options to install elsewhere. fail of epic proportions, microsoft. i can't use it until they fix that.

Most cooked ROMs have ample storage on the device memory (unless you've filled it up with pictures and songs instead of dumping them in the 'My Storage' memory).

Besides, most of the apps are less than half a meg anyway...

i guess its to make it so you cant put it on other devices but it is still kinda retarded. Cause that would be simple to fix. Well thats gonna be somthing they are gonna have to change or it will make it so you can only put a limited amount of apps on your device. Whats wrong with handango, you can have free trials and put them on any part of your phone. its been around for ever.

How do you figure that?? I see that you buy the apps from all of the standard vendors like Handango, MobiHand, etc. You are still going to be able to install it as the author programs it.

It is the author that determines where you can install the apps, not Microsoft, don't you think?? For example, SPB Mobile Shell can be installed in "Device", or in "My Storage", or in "Storage Card".
