Omnia Programming question

Hey everyone, long time lurker, first time poster.
Anyway,
I'm a software developer, and I'm writing an application that runs on the Omnia i910 - Verizon. What I'm trying to do is basically gain access to the Qualcomm diagnostic monitor port. I can access the com port when the Omnia is plugged into my laptop from my XP machine, but I can't an application on the Omnia to open it's own DM com port. After iterating through the applicable registry keys, it doesn't appear that the DM com port is exposed internally in the device.
After a bit of web searching, I discovered this page which lists out all the devices for an HTC on the XDA site:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...rsalWM5Devices

It appears to be COM9 on HTC devices. Can anyone suggest some registry hacks / dll downloads / code / something to help me be able to access the DM port from within a C++/C# application running on the Omnia?
Thanks in advance,

Re: Omnia Programming question

have you posed the same question on XDA Forums? There are a lot of developers there.
