possible fix for low battery alert

I may have a solution to the very annoying low battery alert sound that plays @ 40%. i have done this on my phone and am @ 40% with no alert sound. if somebody could also verify it working that would be great.

using your regedit of choice go to:
HKCU/controlpanel/soundcategories/battlowalert

i changed initvol to 0 and default sound to a file that doesn't exist (e.g. nophonelowbat.wav).

i am using wm 6.5 so this may not work on 6.1.

let me know if it works.

This worked great for me. I'm running 6.1.

I just performed it, now I just have to wait and see what happens.

Works great! Now I only hear the custom sound that I have set for Low Battery Warning, no more of the ridiculous "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!" out of nowhere. Thanks given.

great! glad it's working for both 6.1 and 6.5. now just need to kill the 20% sound that woke me up at 4:30 am the other night! :(
