Ok, I cannot remember how to get rid of the youtube play on the internet tab and replace it with the google youtube app. I know it can be done but I can't remeber and search yields nothing. Please advise. Thank you in advance.

well depending on the version you have..6.1,6.5?
there is a app floating around in here for the 6.5 you tube app. or if you have 6.1 just go to m.youtube.com/app and install to my storage. It will keep the original tab on the internet tab, but now will link up . Good Luck

From here. I remember doing this when I was using M2d and I'm pretty sure that it works. Just be sure to install to My Storage.

Ok I got it working guys.

1. Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Google/YouTube

double click on "install path" and copy / write down the ENTIRE location of the official youtube installation .exe.

2. Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Htc/Manilla2d/InternetWidget/Customized/0/CustomizedURL

and double click on "customizedURL" and input the location you copied above. mine reads (this might be different for you depending on where you isntalled it):


\My Storage\Program Files\YouTube\youtube.exe

3. Softreset

4. Go to internet tab and clicky the youtube and enjoy
