Standard 6.5 start menu layout

I just switched to Blazingwolf's 23028 beta ROM and I'd like to know if there's any way to get the "standard" 6.5 start menu with the big icons 3 across and the white blurry selection indicators like this:

Unrelated question, it seems like the HTC task manager doesn't function; when I press the X button in a program, it still runs. Forgive me if this has been answered already, but is there any way to fix it (or do I have it set up wrong)?

ninja edit: another thing, any reason we can't have the "smooth" notification icons for volume/power/connection/signal strength?

click on the wrench>button>select end programs by tapping x

That's the first thing I checked and it already was. :(

edit: flashed back to Adrynalyne's CF03 4.0 and it's much faster, much better looking, more free space and based on the very stable 23025. Plus it's got the nice start menu!
