Re: Stuck on ALIGN SCREEN!!!

One of the other guys in the department had his Omnia basically loose its ability to calibrate. I tried to flash the ROM back to the original to see if it would help... just got stuck at the align screen. It never would move past and I had to get Verizon to replace it... luckily it was still under a year old and the replacement was free.

You could try to flash to one of the ROMs that blazingwolf or one of the other chefs have that do not use the alignment/calibration screen and see if that would work...

this was mentioned on MoDaCo. it has been said that you have to press with a larger amount of force then you might think to calibrate. i remember when i did it, i pressed harder then i felt comfortable but it worked. thankfully, the ROM i am using has the calibration screen disabled.

Good lord. I never would have believed it, but that WORKED (on my Touch Pro). I thought I was going to permanently dent the screen, but that was the only way I could get the little calibration-X to move on to the next position(s). Thanks!
