Disable rotation animation?

Is there a way to get rid of the stupid Omnia rotation animation? I have a Dell Axim X50v running WM 6.1, and I have a hard button mapped to rotate the screen. When I press it, BAM, it just flips to landscape in under a second. On the Omnia it seems like it takes at least 5 - 8 seconds. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the animation. Unfortunately I can't find a way to disable it. It doesn't give me this option when I go to choose the type of animation. Any third party apps to disable it or a reg setting? I really don't like any of the animation options anyway.

you can set it to manual in the motion sensor settings

hes not asking for manual. I know what you mean, though, and suspect the same. If you notice, certain animations work MUCH faster than others, and i could live with a simple FAST one much easier than a slow pretty one.

I'd also love this, I'm sure that it could be achieved by hacking the rotation dll somehow, but seeing as I still don't have a usb cable I couldn't even try to look at it, and I wouldn't know what to look for!

ZoomInOut2 feels like the fastest rotation to me.

I've tried all the animations, and even the simple ones take the same 5 seconds or so.

I just poked around on Microsoft's MSDN site but didn't find anything in the way of registry hacks or anything. For now, to get around this annoyance, I turned off auto-rotation and mapped it to a button.

I found the 'default' animation to be the fastest...sometimes it takes a few second, but usually it's pretty fast.
