new to omnia... need help with rom flash

hello all.

i have been searching since thursday when i got my omnia i910, and i just cant make since of the procedure of how to flash the omnia rom. ok, i should be more specific. i have supposedly successfuly flashed the cc20 vzw .img file, but now i downloaded a file that was just a .bin for WM6.5, and i have no idea where to go from here.

i have been using ppckitchen to build custom roms and flash them to my htc devices, which is obviously vary different, at least to me. i have heard hints of another kitchen software that would work for the omnia...or...if someone could help with getting it onto buildOS since i am more familiar with that, if at all possible.

i have looked at "theidoctor" approach, but that doesnt help for the .bin. i have googled it, searched it on ppcgeeks and xda...im at a complete stand still. i just dont understand what to do. if someone more expireienced at the omnia or just samsung devices in general, could you maybe help me out?

thanks for your patients, and your help.

TZ

if you already did the cc20 part, now all ya have to do is download the rom that you want (there's plenty to chose from) fire up the flash program, click on PDA, pop in the bin file that ya just downloaded, hit detect, and away you go.

i looked in the omnia upgrade forum, which i assumed is what you meant, and looked at both stickies. still drooling out of stupidity... i think adrynalyne said something about a mini guide?...i had trouble finding that too... i searched for all the threads that adrynalyne had, and searched some of them for the mini guide...am i missing it completely?

thanks,

TZ

P.S. i guess i like to use a lot of "..." :|
