Question: Mail Downloads

I have 3 different email accounts set up. If I tell them all to download every 4 hours, will they all download at the same time? I am trying to save battery by minimizing seperate data connections, so it would be nice if it connected and all 3 downloaded. Anyone have any ideas if this is the case?

Re: Question: Mail Downloads

I just tested this on mine, since I have two email accounts set up on my phone already.

I sent a test message to both of my accounts. One account received and then the second one did about 45 minutes later. I had them both set up to receive every 2 hours. So without any other changes, it did not work how you want.

Now, I am going to test it after having done a send/receive manually on both. The thought is that manually sending/receiving may reset the timer. I will report back in a little while.

OK. Did not seem to work, even with the manual send/receive.
So . . . Good Luck. Maybe someone else knows a trick to get it to work.

OK thanks for checking yours. It just seems like there would be a way to do it, but I can't figure it out.

I have 3 accounts as well, and mine are all set up for every 2hours. And they all seem to send/receive within a minute or two of each other....Maybe because when I set them up it was one right after the other? Not helpful I know LOL, but my 2cents anyways :)

I guess that means I just have to be real quick in the setup.

Hahaha, anything is worth a shot to see if it works :) I know they will all come close to one another because in the middle of the night sometimes I'll hear the notification, then again, then again LOL!!
