Can't Connect!!! - New ROM
Ok, I flashed the leaked ROM from Vista. I had to uncheck "allow USB Connections" in the Mobile Device Center to flash the ROM.
I've flashed a few times (the new ROMs that Adrynalyne has made). Now when I try to connect to Vista it says that it's an unknown device and can't connect. Is there a driver I'm missing???? Can someone hook me up? |
Re: Can't Connect!!! - New ROM
Uncheck the "Enable advanced network functionality" in the USBtoPC settings. To get ther go to Start/Settings/Connections/USBtoPC

Re: Can't Connect!!! - New ROM
Also, I am assuming you are using an English OS....I have removed almost everything that is not English, including a driver. I just synced my phone with Windows Mobile Device Center fine, and I am using 1.0--which uses identical drivers as 0.9.

Problem Solved
with a reboot!!! Thanks guys |
Re: Can't Connect!!! - New ROM
Well... Now I have this EXACT same problem again. Multiple reboots have not fixed it. It is telling me that the USB Device can perform faster if I connected it to a 2.0 port. What strange is that I'm on a laptop with 3 USB ports. I always connected it to the right port but now it isn't working. When I plug it into the right port 'nothing' happens. WHen I plug it into any other port I get the "can perform faster" error and it doesn't connect.
I'm running Vista and Adrylnaln's 1.2 ROM. Oh... and I tried last night to connect and my battery on my phone was about 20%. I thought maybe that was the problem but it's fully charged and still isn't working. help Please. (I've already unchecked "enable advanced network functionality" and "allow USB Connections" is checked in Mobile device center) |
Re: Can't Connect!!! - New ROM
You might try removing the device in the Vista Hardware manager. In XP it's Control Panel/System/Hardware Tab/Device Manager. Vista should be similar.
Plug it into one of the responding USB ports, remove the driver via above, unplug cable and reboot Vista. It will reload the driver when you plug it back in. At least that's what happens in XP. Edit: While you're in Hardware manager, check that no Yellow Alerts are in the Hardware list. USB should be near the bottom of the list. Ted |
Re: Can't Connect!!! - New ROM
ok. It's weird. Now it's working (after uninstalling and reinstalling the device), but now it is only working with the left USB ports and not the right one. I always use the right one and not the left ones. I don't know what's going on.
