Linking programs and custom themes
1. i hope that i'm asking this right, but do you have to do a reghack inorder to lauch other programs from the spb shell skin buttons? meaning i have the little mail button, the sms button, the phone button, and the star button and i want to link the mail button to flexmail, the sms button to SMS-Chat, and the phone button to the dialer on PhonEx and not the call list.
right now when i click on the mail button it takes me to pocket outlook (i think that's what it is), the sms button takes me to the omnia's text program, and the star button takes me to some items menu. 2. is there a full "how-to" create your owm themes for dummies thread? like from start to finish and what's needed? i see some people modding ST2, MD-something, and some others. right now i just have mobile shell installed. do i need to install something else and what tools do i need to make my themes? thanx for any help |
Re: Linking programs and custom themes
I second that. I would love to link my active tasks to the useless star button.:spin:

Copied this from the 'tips/hacks' thread at top of forum. For SPB Mobile Shell users using a different SMS app: SOLUTION TO REMAP SMS AND CALLLOG-BUTTON TO USER DEFINED PROGRAMS SMS-Button: Open your favorite registry editor and go to "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\RAI\:MSINBOX" and change the value "1" from "tmail.exe" to the path of the program you wanna launch. And do not forget to set the " " ! For example: "My Storage\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe" Save and your done, the SMS button on the main screen of spb mobile shell should now launch VITO SMS Chat. This works for me sometimes, other times it goes to the default txt screen. Not sure why. |

useless star button? I use that more than anything. You can always add your task list program to your star button folder. |
