Issue with Omnia

I purchased Omnia yesterday with telus Mobility in Canada (this is CDMA version).

Issues:

The device data connection will not shut off, the device always shows data connection as on, the two arrows are light grey, when I use an application, they become active.

I have used HTC devices that always have a comm manager, the Omnia i910 does not.

Is this a carrier specific issue or common for Samsung not to have an app/service to turn off data when not in use.

On another site, somone suggested doing a reg edit to change when the data connection from 600 to 60, the CDMA version has different specs that CSM version.

I need help.

Dave

There are two files, one to shut it off when idle for 1 minute, one for 3.

Yeah, it says GPRS. No, CDMA does not use GPRS. No, the OS doesn't know the difference.

So use the cabs, do a little jig, drinks lots of wine, and be merry ;)
