Re: 3000 mAH battery Size

Polo,

You mentioned that this battery pack adds about 1/2 inch to the phone. If that is accurate, that means this DOUBLES the thickness of the phone and that's quite alot. Can you confirm the thickness of the Omnia w the 3000 mAH battery?

Thanks for the help.

Measuring with a ruler with the new back on it is 7/8" total for phone + back cover.

The new battery cover itself is 3/8".

I dont mind the size. It actually makes the phone easier to hold.

Polo,

Have you found a good phone case for this Omnia on steroids?

All this ROM flashing going on, I think there is a great need for this Mugen Power battery that I myself have had for about a week now. I can attest to the fact that it does not build up any heat, definitely gives much more time on a charge, and there is the added convenience of the built in stylus in the new back. The phone is a little thicker and heavier, but, as Polo said, it is easier to hold and use, imo. The best deal for this battery is to go on Ebay and "Buy it now" from this one seller, ba66s. Just do a search for "mugen battery omnia". The cost is $89.99 with free shipping. I think it's worth it for anybody using the phone a lot on the go. The original battery can be kept fully charged as a backup. Also, the Mugen Power battery charges fully within hours with the charger that came with the phone. The car charger works perfectly with it as well. I hope this review was helpful. If anybody has heard of a skin or case for this now thicker phone, could you let me know. Thanks.

Will the simple rubber case from Verizon or the Zagg Invisible Shield case still fit the phone with this new battery?

I just received mine yesterday. So far so good - except the tray battery icon is REALLY off now. . . . For those who own the battery, the package instructions say to discharge at at least 3 times for maximum performance. Who has done that? Was there a notable difference comparing day one to the 3rd discharge/recharge?
