"Read Only"
 

I am having trouble skinning my dialer. Whenever I try to replace the files that are in my Windows directory they say that they are read only. I have tried using Resco Explorer to change the read only settings but once I close out of the properties it doesn't stick.

Can anyone help?

You cannot change the attributes of rom files. You must copy new files on top of the rom files.

Thanks for the quick reply Adrynalyne (you're awesome around here!) but I can't seem to do that either. When I try to delete or copy over the original file I get an error message,

"Cannot copy dialer_back: Access is denied.
Make sure your mobile device has sufficient memory, that the file is not set as read-only, and that you have permission to copy this file type."

unless ur version of Resco is not registered you "should" be able to copy a file of the same name over the existing file...

Thank you! I wasn't using Resco to actually do the copying, I was trying to do it through activesync on XP. Problem solved.
