Graphics Help, *Again*
2 Attachment(s)
I have been trying to skin the Windows Mobile dialer for the last week, and have been running into really stupid roadblocks.
It only accepts gifs for the buttons, and it does support transparency. The thing is, no matter what method I try for transparency, it either shows up as black, white, or pink when I copy it to the phone. Can i get some help from the graphics gurus? This attached clear.zip, works. Its fully transparent, but not the correct size for the Omnia. If I resize them, and save them with Irfanview, or Paint.net, I lose transparency. Even if I can get them to show as transparent, in say, IE, they don't on the phone. If I resize with paint.exe, they keep the transparency, but that method backfires for certain buttons when i resize it. Help! I am attaching the transparent images, and the default images. |

Re: Graphics Help, *Again*
Thanks. I need those clear images, to be the same size as their counterpart images in the default folder, while retaining their transparency. Thanks a ton and I will be sure to give you credit.

Ok, i dont have an omnia, so if that default folder isnt in the zip i will need the sizes. Also, i just started my work day so i wont be able to do it until tonight. So unless someone else gets to it first expect it by tomorrow. :) |
Re: Graphics Help, *Again*
No rush :)
Yeah the default folder is the precise Omnia images and sizes. Thanks again. |

Give this a shot and see if it works (haven't tested it myself on my phone)

No dice.
Some of them worked, but not all. http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/932...590038111a.jpg So, from what I can see, the one that is not transparent are dlrbtn_dwn_port dlrbtn_up_port dlrbtn_dwn_land dlrbtn_up_port And whichever controls that white box above call history. |
Re: Graphics Help, *Again*
I myself looked into this weeks ago Adrynalyne, and had zero luck. If you and the others manage to pull this off it would be awesome. I will check back with the findings a lil later. Good luck all.

Re: Graphics Help, *Again*
Ahhh...this is what you were referring to with the transparency a while back...I gotcha now.
I don't get it. How is it working for QVGA, and VGA, but utterly pukes when resized? I'm too much of a graphics noob to understand I guess. |
