http://www.samsung-omnia.org/samsung-omnia-tricks-and-tips/increasing-ringtone-issue-solved!/#msg23961
I've made a cab to do it for you. Install, wait 20 seconds, soft reset. |

Re: Escalating Ringtone Fix!
It wasnt the cab that did it. All it does is modify that registry entry.

rkidd, hang tight. I noticed an issue that cropped up.

Re: Escalating Ringtone Fix!
An issue with the CAB that was mentioned earlier (I haven't looked at your link yet) or with the reg setting?

The cab file.
I am removing it. Not sure why, but WinCE Cab Manager keeps turning the value into a string, and causing problems. Thats not how I built it. Anyway--here is a .reg backup if anyone needs it, and my apologies. Manually changing it still works though! |
Re: Escalating Ringtone Fix!
As long as it can be done successfully, I think a LOT of people are happy now....just remembering the values:
0 is no ringtone volume 1 is flat ringtone volume 2 is increasing ringtone volume and the string location: HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\Attenuation Category Then people can make the changes as they see fit. (now...maybe someone can write a small app to allow a quick change screen we would be good to go (hint-hint nudge-nudge wink-wink))!!!! |
