... why I have a sun icon to the left of my clock on the Today2 screen? I have never seen it before, and just wondering if anyone knows why it is there and how to make it go away again. BTW I edited an old screen for the example. TIA

It is actually a .bmp embedded in the secstres96.dll file. The resource number is 10109. You can change it to your liking or just delete it completely if you like.

No I'm not using a weather plugin, and that is why I am thoroughly confused. I know I can delete the resource .png if I have to but hopefully there is another way.

Check the first thread. Its been there since after your first post in this thread?! Fastevo added it after you requested it. Whats not to buy? Fastevo isn't one to make stuff up that I have seen.


I have an aswer. Today is the first day of daylight savings. That must be some sort of indicator for it. It showed up for me as well, despite the fact that this state does not observe it. i just noticed it now.

It's showing up on my widget time gadget too, no weather plugin installed.

I manually set my state, instead of it being automatic via the network. Now my time is correct, and the symbol is gone.

Kind of stupid, imo.

Interesting on Samsung's part to include something like this especially since not every time zone observes DST. Thanks for everyone's input as well.

Yea... sorry no reply till now! I just deleted the resource .png and no more icon. I'm going to go back in today as well and remove the alarm bell, and probably change up some dialer files if I find the time.

All this work done to the ST2 screen though, and I noticed the ST1 has been updated with some widgets (Weather, Google, Etc.) that look great. What to do... what to do!

I attached only the (3) Today2 items that came stock in the Omnia. The clock in the image posted is a custom clock that I created which is also embedded in the secstres96.dll.
