Setting default email?

I have a comcast email account that I set up on my Omnia. But, whenever I go into email, it defaults back to the Outlook inbox instead of the Comcast inbox, even when I have new emails.

Is there a way (registry tweak perhaps) to change what the default email inbox is?

I don't understand what you're asking. Each email account should be different. I have an MSN, Exchange, and a POP account on my phone, and when I tap on the Message Icon it shows all accounts available including MMS and Text. If you get a new email it brings up a notification, and if you click view it takes you to the account. Do you have the i910 or i900? My phone is the i910.

Sorry, just now saw this response...

If it helps, I am running SPB Mobile Shell. On the Now screen there is a button for email. When I click on it it automatically opens up the Outlook inbox, rather than the Comcast one. When I click on Inbox it drops down to show Comcast, MMS, Outlook E-mail, and Text Messages. I am just wanting this particular button to open to Comcast, because I don't use the Outlook E-mail.

Perhaps it's more of an SPBMS issue. Maybe syrguy has a solution. He seems to be the SPB expert...

I actually find this same problem to be rather annoying myself - I would rather have it open to the account chooser the way the Email button on the Samsung Today does

Another thing you can do, which isn't a fix, but a quick navigation tool is once you've clicked on the email button and it takes you to Outlook folder, click Menu>Go To> (choose your desired email). Easier than using the non-finger friendly folders drop down

i use SPB and all three of my email accounts show up...
im using the imarche theme...maybe its a setting i checked off...
i click messaging, it goes to the different messaging types, i hit email and it has the option for outlook email, aleis, chizzy, or united minds.
the first two are gmal and the other is a verizon account.

I also use SPB mobile (without the Imarche skin) and I couldn't find anything in the settings that allowed me to choose which email account to open up. It defaults to Outlook which I don't use.

Exact same thing here...it's really more of an annoyance than anything...

Good luck with this. It works for me, but your mileage may vary. I don't use SPB mobile shell.

This is just for you, so anyone else downloading it and using it may break their email, so, FYI.

After installing, wait a minute or so and soft reset.

I installed this cab and it didn't fix it. I appreciate the effort though! Looks like it's an annoyance I'll have to stick with for a while...
