My Storage2
 

I have a Verizon Samsung Omnia (i910) and today it randomly renamed the built in 'My Storage' to 'My Storage2'... breaking links to all installed apps.

I have been installing/uninstalling quite a few apps lately as I've only had it 1.5 weeks and I'm still playing with right combination of software. If I have to a do a hard reset, no big deal -- but before I do. Does anyone have any idea what happened? And maybe how to fix it?

Managed to fix it. I renamed 'My Storage' to 'My StorageZZZ' and did a Soft Reset. 'My Storage2' reverted back to correct 'My Storage'. Whew. that was weird.

my diamond did this with the internal storage and htc made a hotfix for the problem so maybe one will also be available for the omnia soon.

I have seen this on my old 700wx, I believe it was tracked to using SKTools. It is a bit of a bother, but for as rarely as it happened I never pursued it. I would look into any tweaks, reg edits, or majorly OS intrusive apps you have and see if you can remember any installed just prior to this issue.
