ObexFTP?

I just noticed something in all the hubbub surrounding my implementing my Omnia to replace my i760: I don't see ObexFTP any longer!

Am I blind? I didn't use it all that often except when I forgot my sync cable or something. However, I went to use it and I don't have it in my programs. Does anyone else? Scanning the Windows directory I see some obex....dlls but no exe.

My bluetooth connections still have a tab for FTP but I can't find FTP itself? Did I lose it somehow or was it never on my Omnia and it took me this long to figure it out?

Anyone?

What would be the purpose for using ObexFTP? The phone has activesync via usb and bluetooth. I put Resco Explorer on my phone and it came with Resco FTP.

The purpose is to move files to and from the phone and the PC using Bluetooth. Activesync has their File Option, true. Can it be customized as to where the files reside both on the PC and the phone? As far as I know \My Documents is where files are forced as far as I know.

Using Settings->Connections->Bluetooth's FTP tab is how I used to tell FTP where my shared folder is on the phone. I set this to the storage card so I can move files much large than would fit into the internal \My Documents.

It seems everything is there except the actual FTP client and Samsung used to supply ObexFTP as an installed client on the i760 I had previously.

My guess is they stopped bundling it but I believe it's open source or, as you suggested, seek other 3rd party FTP clients. I'll surf around...

Dopey me! I use Total Commander for the same things as Rescoe. Sure enough it looks like it does FTP so I'll start there. I should have know as I use the PC version of TC as my main FTP client there. Sometimes, can't see the forest for the trees!
